Ronald J. Dwyer founded Innovative Strategists, Inc. in November of 1993 after completing
his law enforcement career as a New York City Homicide Detective.  As  President and Director 
of Operations, Ron has conducted thousands of criminal defense investigations for clients charged by federal, state and local authorities. Some of these cases have been high-profile state or federal criminal matters including charges of Capital Murder, RICO, Racketeering, Fraud, Illegal Narcotics & Firearms trafficking, as well as countless other charges. Ron has also led investigations in Insurance 
Industry related cases where multi-million dollars suits were decided in the favor of his clients.

Ron began his law enforcement career with the New York City Housing Police Department,
which later merged with the NYPD. After three years of active duty service as a uniformed
patrol officer, Ron began a rapid ascension through the investigative ranks. His solid
communication skills and outstanding reputation for integrity and reliability quickly earned
him the rank of Detective and an appointment to the Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU), an
elite Federal, State & City Task Force. Ron managed and developed high-level investigations
involving homicides, narcotics trafficking and other serious crimes. Upon successful completion
of his NEU investigations Ron was re-assigned to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office,
Homicide Investigation Unit, where he continued to manage, develop and prepare for prosecution complex, senior-level investigations. In his capacity as a Senior Investigator at the District Attorney's office, Ron worked closely with the FBI, DEA, ATF, NYPD and the US Attorney's Office of the Southern District of New York as well as other Districts throughout the country. 

Ron also works closely with clients and attorneys on a variety of Family Court matters 
from child custody disputes to allegations of serious physical and sexual abuse.
  He has also
been instrumental in assisting attorneys and their clients in several Federal
Court discrimination
matters. Ron manages several investigation teams that are currently
conducting ongoing
investigations in both criminal and civil matters in Federal & State 
courts. The firm has also been retained in several missing persons cases, the most recentof which Ron coordinated with the Nassau County Police Department a massive search effort which resulted in the safe return of a thirteen year old girl to her family after she was missing for four days.

Ron has had numerous appearances on Court TV as an expert commentator on 
investigative procedures and techniques. He has also offered his time to Cardozo Law School in New York to assist Professors in teaching their law school students real life situations in criminal and civil matters.
